Who We Are

A Collective Built Around the Craft of Live Performance

Theatrium NEPA is a creative studio and portfolio platform for a collective of performing artists from northeastern Pennsylvania. We specialize in lighting design, scenography, movement direction, and technical production for original works and reimagined classics. Our archive documents the full process — from mounting rehearsals and costume sketches to floor plans and regional tours — giving festival programmers and cultural managers a clear reference for our aesthetic and technical range.

01

Lighting as a Dramatic Language

Design that shapes focus, mood, and narrative

We treat light as a primary storytelling tool, not a technical afterthought. Each plot is built around the architecture of the venue and the emotional arc of the piece, whether it is a black-box studio or a converted warehouse.

02

Scenography That Serves the Text

Sets and costumes grounded in the world of the play

Our scenic work starts with the script and the space. We sketch, model, and test before committing to materials, so every panel, prop, and costume piece earns its place on stage.

03

Movement Direction for Contemporary Drama

Choreography that reveals character and tension

We collaborate closely with directors and actors to build movement vocabularies that feel intentional rather than decorative. The result is staging that carries meaning even in stillness.

04

Technical Production for Regional Tours

Reliable logistics from load-in to strike

We handle the practical side of touring — scheduling, equipment, crew coordination, and venue adaptation — so the artistic work stays sharp from the first preview to the final performance.

05

Residencies with Emerging Playwrights

Supporting new dramatic voices in the region

We partner with local writers to develop new works, offering design mentorship, production guidance, and staged readings. These collaborations keep our practice connected to the present moment of theater.

Festival programmers, cultural venues and playwright collectives across northeastern Pennsylvania rely on our technical and design work for their seasons.
